Legolas ended up going with me while Merry and Pippin smoked their pipes and Aragorn's bum hurt from the last treasure hunt. And I was so close!!! I started at the trees and followed the trail but in the end, there was one problem: the rock was too big to go around. I think it was a mountain or something. So I come home empty handed once again. Well, almost.
